Sermorelin/CJC + ipamorelin — why do people pair them? (mechanism question)

trying to understand why people pair sermorelin/CJC-1295 with ipamorelin rather than just repeating forum lore. my read: the GHRH analogs hit the GHRH receptor, ipamorelin hits the ghrelin / GHS-R1a receptor — two different pituitary pathways, so the combo logic is they're complementary not redundant.

is that the real mechanistic argument, and is there any human data the combo beats either one alone? or is it purely theoretical? none of these are approved for this anyway, just asking about mechanism + evidence.

your understanding is accurate: GHRH receptor (sermorelin/CJC) + ghrelin/GHS-R1a (ipamorelin) are two distinct pituitary pathways, so the complementarity argument is reasonable. but there's no human RCT showing the combo beats either alone for any real endpoint — it's theory, and none are approved for it.

context add: ipamorelin gets picked partly because it's described as relatively selective, less effect on cortisol/prolactin than older secretagogues like GHRP-6. that's the usual justification for the pairing.
