New to peptide research — where do I actually start?

Research & educational use only. This content is not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using any peptide compound.

I am completely new to this and honestly a little overwhelmed by the terminology. There are evidence tiers, FDA statuses, reconstitution math, COAs. Where should a beginner actually start so I do not waste weeks going in circles?

I am most interested in understanding how to tell strong evidence from weak evidence before I read any individual compound page. Any pointers to the right guides would be appreciated.

Seconding the evidence-first approach. I would add the How to Read a COA guide once you are past the basics.

Start with the Understanding Evidence Tiers guide in Research and Guides. Once you can tell a human RCT from animal-only data, every compound page becomes much easier to read. Then pick one compound you are curious about and read its page top to bottom, noting the FDA status and the trial counts.

Do not start with protocols or sources. Start with how to judge evidence. Everything else follows from that.

Thank you both. That is a much less overwhelming starting point than I expected.
