Bremelanotide (PT-141) is a melanocortin receptor agonist approved by the FDA (as Vyleesi) for hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. It is supported by phase 3 randomized controlled trials (the RECONNECT program). It is an approved prescription medication administered by subcutaneous injection.
