Melanotan II: please read the safety case reports first

Research & educational use only. This content is not medical advice. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before using any peptide compound.

Before anyone goes near Melanotan II for tanning, please read the case literature. It is not approved by the FDA for any use, and regulators have warned about unregulated products. Reported issues in case reports include nausea, blood-pressure changes, and atypical or changing moles.

This is a harm-reduction note, not an endorsement. The pigmentation effect being real does not make the safety profile understood, because there is no controlled efficacy and safety program behind the tanning use.

The atypical or changing moles signal is the one to take seriously given melanocortin activity on melanocytes. Anyone noticing skin changes should get a dermatology review. This is why the unregulated tanning use is genuinely concerning.

Thank you for posting this. I had only ever seen the tanning hype and none of the safety side.
