Thymosin alpha-1: approved abroad, investigational in the US

Thymosin alpha-1 (Zadaxin) is an interesting case because it is approved or registered in several countries for indications like chronic hepatitis B and as an immune adjuvant, but it remains not FDA approved in the United States.

The human evidence is genuinely mixed and very indication-dependent. It is more substantiated than the pure research peptides for some uses, but the US regulatory status and the heterogeneity of the trials are both worth keeping in mind.

The indication-dependence is the key nuance. It is not one effect to evaluate, it is many separate trials across very different conditions, and they do not all point the same way.
