Epitalon and telomerase: why I stay skeptical of the claims

Every time Epitalon comes up, so do the telomerase and lifespan claims. The problem is that most of that literature traces back to a single group of originating Russian labs and has not been independently replicated under blinded conditions.

That is basically the definition of Tier 4: an interesting mechanistic story with little or no replicated controlled human data. I would love to be proven wrong by an independent trial, but it does not exist yet.
