BPC-157 in 2026 — where the FDA status and the evidence actually stand

since this comes up weekly: BPC-157 is still not FDA approved and got caught by the 2023 compounding restriction. and as of 2026 there are still zero published human RCTs — it's basically all rodent data, which keeps it tier 3.

people keep mixing up two separate things: "it got restricted" is a regulatory fact, "it works" is an evidence claim the human trials haven't touched. if anyone has a real published human RCT, drop it and I'll happily update this.

needed saying. "it got restricted" and "it works" are totally separate claims and threads collapse them all the time. the human-trial gap is the same as it's always been.

speaking as someone with an actual injury who would love a shortcut: the animal data is genuinely interesting but wanting it to work isn't evidence. tier 3 is the honest label and I keep reminding myself.
